Simple can be so beautiful.
And who doesn’t want a beautiful wedding?
Cady and Jon planned a day full of personal touches and meaningful moments. Cady started the day by getting ready at the gorgeous Bridal Veil Lodge, just down the hill from her venue, Bridal Veil Lakes. Her room faced the forest, which made the perfect backdrop for this part of the day. Her mom and sister lovingly tended to her needs…
After the short trip up the hill to the lake, Cady and Jon first laid eyes on each other on one of the docks. What a touching first look it was! From there it was time for a leisurely stroll around the lake with lots of photos…
Cady’s mom and dad both beamed as they walked their oldest daughter down the aisle. The ceremony was full of touching stories and memories shared. After the ceremony the guests were in for a real treat! It’s not every bride and groom who then grab a two-man crosscut saw and proceed to saw a log in half! It was a Baumstamm Sagen ceremony… symbolic of the couple’s new life together and the help and support they will need from their family and friends. It was great!
The reception started with tacos from the always tasty Por Que No, tasty individual pies from Portland Pie Spot, and ended with an amazing sunset with family and friends gathering around to toast the happy couple while enjoying the beautiful gorge view. All in all… a perfect day! Congratulations again to Cady and Jon! May you be blessed with many, many happy years together!
